YORE SHOES
Step Into The Past...
Human or Cow?!
In 1920, America passed a law which made the manufacture and selling of alcohol illegal. Americans wouldn’t accept this however and lots continued to drink in hidden bars and underground places. During this ‘prohibition’ era, gangsters would brew a lot of alcohol and sold it for very high prices on a secret market. To get the alcohol places, they used hundreds of different disguises and methods to avoid being caught. One of them was attaching wooden bits to their shoes which, when they walked, made cow prints! This meant that police were confused and faced with chasing many cow prints instead of footprints.
