Sheep

These wellies for sheep were worn to stop sheep getting very wet feet and then problems with them. This one is from just after the Second World War in 1946, when keeping animals and their produce safe was very important for food.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

These boots are very similar. They were made for animals on the front line in World War Two as protective footwear from deadly posionous gases.
